How to grant a lasting power of attorney for your legal and financial affairs
A lasting power of attorney enables a friend, relative or loved one to help with your financial affairs should you lose your mental capacity through illness, severe injury, disability or old age. Once a person has lost this capacity, it is too late to set up a lasting power of attorney.
Should the worst happen and a person does not have one in place, it can result in their loved ones having to apply to the courts which can sometimes go on for months, even years, at what is already a very emotional time.
We worked with our client to produce an explainer video that not only helps demystify the process but also highlight the serious pitfalls. There are many legal issues surrounding the process and it is critical that it is done correctly.
Good research, scriptwriting and visuals as part of the story are critical to your explainer video being a success. For legal videos, in particular, it is important that we create a great story without drilling down into too much legal in many cases, should minor changes in the law happen. We create your animation with this in mind so that it has longevity for a long time to come.
